Die Welle

Absolutely worth seeing especially if you want to understand how strong is the psychology of the masses and how easy some uncomprehensible social phenomena can be explained. Out of nothing a human wave can drown us all, especially those who started it.
The references to Nazi Germany is of course unavoided and necessary to show the heavy historical burden on the otherwise revolutionary, modern, artistic and visionary German youth.
Unlike the French 'Entre les Murs' (see previous posting), Die Welle is telling a story, it is not a dramatized documentary, it is fiction that dramatizes a national nightmare in a classroom. The operative question being: Can we have fascism again?
Brilliant movie, the best I have seen this season so far, a MUST SEE.
Excellent direction and a very promising young cast. The professor is wonderful
Without any hesitation, 5 out of 5

NB: The movie is inspired by a real school experiement in California in 67 and based on a novel by Tod Strasser

It was a bummer being away. Great to be back, thanks for the welcome :-)
Elwyn I loved your Becks comment on George's blog!

Yes, Notia Proastia's most famous blogger is not a big fan of Becks. I've tried to explain that old Becksy is not just as a footballer but a Renaissance Man - thinker, artist, philosopher, philanthropist and loyal(ish) partner of Lady Becks.

Elwyn,
The (ish) addition on Becks' devotion to Lady Becksy was "ola ta lefta". Ha!ha!ha!

It is just that the UK people are now starving for the next hot couple. You see ever since Liz dumped Hugh, there was only Becks and Posh to match up the glam. Now that Posh is close to disappearing due to anorexia and Becks' vocabulary insists on focusing around 'you know', I think they are desperately needing a new fab couple willing to pose for paparazzi, so I guess Henry is out. Any ideas? The world outside Japan and Korea are pretty much fed up with Posh's bitchiness and Becks' loyalish predisposition.

Finally some sense Elwyn with the Becks's. Zeta eloquently says "Basta!" with this couple. I totally agree

Pugs are the superior creatures in any planet

Don't you wish you were hot like Frankie (the Pug)???
